Ms. Buchanan joined the litigation team at Jones & Mayer in 2019 and defends cities and their employees from all types of personal injury claims, including dangerous conditions of public property and automobile accidents, as well as federal civil rights claims. Prior to joining Jones & Mayer, Ms. Buchanan worked in litigation focusing on both Plaintiff and Defendant cases for trust litigation, business litigation, real estate and property disputes. Ms. Buchanan has previously helped to shape the field of trust litigation, and has published cases with the California Court of Appeal regarding a trial court's broad equitable powers under the probate code.

Ms. Buchanan attended California State University, Long Beach and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Rhetoric in 2009. In 2012, Ms. Buchanan obtained a J. D. from Chapman University, School of Law. Ms. Buchanan was awarded the Commitment to Public Service Award while attending Chapman University School of Law.

Ms. Buchanan is admitted to practice in State and Federal court in California.
