We have served as City Attorney to various Southern California cities since 1976. We provide a full range of legal services to our clients cities and their Redevelopment Agencies, Public Financing Authorities, Utility Authorities and related legal entities. Our services include working closely with staff and independently to draft ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other legal documents, serve as counsel to the City Council, Planning Commission and other commissions and boards, and advising regarding personnel matters, tort and other liability issues, bond issues, all aspects of law enforcement, housing, redevelopment and land use issues. We handle litigation from use of force and constitutional claims to contract disputes, tort claims and writ proceedings. We provide training to elected officials, appointed officials and staff regarding AB 1234 and related ethics issues, prevention of sexual harassment and employment discrimination, HIPAA compliance, Brown Act issues, FLSA compliance, internal affairs and other workplace investigations, and due process issues.
